Taihang turbofan engine (turbofan 10) 1982 independently completed the whole development process with American core engine technology (Boeing 737 engine), and the design was finalized in 2006. It belongs to the second generation high thrust turbofan engine, with thrust-to-weight ratio of 7.8 and afterburning thrust 125 kN. The improved estimated thrust-to-weight ratio is 9.5, and the afterburning thrust is 155 kn.
The Qinling engine is produced because it is the best engine technology that China can get in the west. Prior to this, China could only produce turbojet engines (Kunlun was finalized in 2002, with a thrust-to-weight ratio of 7.0 and afterburner of 78kn, which is the peak of medium thrust turbojet technology), and the development of large thrust turbofan 6 was stopped due to supporting J-9. Flying leopard is the key equipment to fill the gap and can't wait. Although the technology of Qinling Mountain is obsolete, it still has the advantages of large thrust, low fuel consumption and long service life, and has achieved the goal of flying leopard for a long time.
