The release of "Artisan of the Great Power of the Year" was jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Central Radio and Television General Station, starting from June 20 18. "Great Craftsman Person of the Year" is recommended and selected by trade unions at all levels, with extensive participation of workers and staff. After careful review of materials, extensive solicitation of opinions and repeated comparison, the Office of the Organizing Committee for the launch event initially selected 50 candidates for "Great Craftsman of the Year" from the recommenders.
In the end, an expert jury composed of 30 well-known experts in related fields, famous model workers and senior media people selected 10 "great country craftsman of the year" from the candidates after strict evaluation. In 2023, Artisan of the Year was released and officially launched on September 25th.
