Brief introduction of ConocoPhillips
ConocoPhillips is a world-renowned international comprehensive energy company, mainly engaged in the exploration, production, processing and marketing of oil and natural gas, as well as the production and sales of chemical and plastic products. ConocoPhillips is the third largest energy company in the United States, headquartered in Houston, Texas, with operations in more than 30 countries. As of June 30, 2009, its total number of employees reached more than 30,000. ConocoPhillips is famous for its exploration and production technology, reservoir management and development, 3D seismic technology, high-grade petroleum coke improvement technology and desulfurization technology. The emerging businesses that the company is developing include power generation, carbon-liquid conversion, technical solutions and the development of renewable energy and alternative energy technologies. ConocoPhillips China Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of ConocoPhillips. At present, the company has about 800 employees and cooperates with Chinese and foreign parties in oil and gas exploration and exploitation. At present, we have offices in Beijing, Tanggu and Shekou. In Bohai Bay, China, ConocoPhillips China Co., Ltd. and China Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) jointly developed Penglai 19-3 Oilfield, which is one of the largest offshore oilfields in China with an area of over 3,200 square kilometers. ConocoPhillips cooperated with CNOOC to discover Penglai 19-3 offshore oil field in Bohai Bay1/05 block in China in May, 1999. At present, ConocoPhillips China Company is the operator of this oilfield. The first phase of the project was put into operation in June 2002. The second phase project of Penglai Oilfield is under development and construction, including five wellhead platforms, central processing facilities and a new FPSO "Offshore Oil117" (also known as "Pengbo FPSO"), the largest FPSO in the world. At the same time, 19-9 and 25-6 oilfields adjacent to 19-3 oilfield are also under development. Four wellhead platforms have been put into use, and "Offshore Oil117" FPSO was officially put into production in May 2009. Penglai Oilfield is expected to reach its peak output at 20 1 1, and the daily output of crude oil is expected to reach 69,000 barrels. In 2009, the average daily output of crude oil in 1 1/05 block was 33,000 barrels. In the South China Sea, Xijiang 24-3, the first offshore oil field of ConocoPhillips China Co., Ltd. in China, was put into production on 1994. A year later, Xijiang 30-2, the second oilfield, was put into production. 1997, China co., ltd of conocophillips developed Xijiang 24-3 satellite oil field (24- 1). The horizontal extended drilling technology has been adopted in the development of this oilfield, and many world drilling records have been created. These three oil fields are about 80 miles from Hong Kong. In 2009, the average daily crude oil output was 50,000 barrels. According to the contract, ConocoPhillips' ownership of 24-3 and 24- 1 oilfields will be terminated in June 20 10, and its ownership of 30-2 oilfield will be terminated in June 20 10. On March 3rd, 2006, KLOC-0, ConocoPhillips successfully completed the merger of Burlington Resources Company. ConocoPhillips China Co., Ltd. further expanded its assets in China, including acquiring the ownership of Panyu 4-2, 5- 1 and1-6 oil fields in Nanhai block of China. CNOOC is the operator of Panyu Oilfield. The average daily production of crude oil in this block in 2009 was 1 1 1,000 barrels. While developing its business in China, ConocoPhillips China Co., Ltd. pays more attention to giving back to the community where the company works, including supporting education, protecting the environment, paying attention to the safety of employees and their families, actively promoting technology transfer, and has been making every effort to support education through various university projects and supporting environmental protection in China by exploring future education plans.
