Introduction to Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College Hunan Mass Media Vocational and Technical College was formally established in July 2000 on the basis of the former Hunan Bank School and Hunan Education TV Station. In 2002, the former Changsha County Teacher Training School merged; In 2004, the original Hunan Radio and Television School was integrated. The college implements the management system established by Hunan Provincial Department of Education, Hunan Provincial Bureau of Press, Publication, Radio and Television, and Hunan Provincial Radio and Television Station, and is headed by Hunan Provincial Department of Education. Now it is the first batch of national backbone higher vocational colleges and the first batch of excellent higher vocational colleges in Hunan Province. The "International Chinese Language and Culture Communication Base" established by Hanban in Hunan relies on the school, Hunan Radio and Television program production base and "Voice of Shaoshan" radio program production base, and is known as the cradle of "Hunan Radio and Television Army".
The College adheres to the orientation of "basing itself on Hunan, facing the whole country, serving the cultural industry and highlighting the characteristics of the media", adheres to the motto of "Creativity brightens life", implements the development strategy of "attracting Taiwan to promote the school, strengthening the school and serving the school", and is committed to cultivating creative technical and technical talents with high comprehensive quality and strong communication skills for the construction of a strong cultural province in Hunan and the development of the media industry. At present, there are 35 majors, which have basically formed a development pattern with "media content production" as the core, "media art" and "media technology" as the support, as well as "media management" and "cultural education", focusing on the construction of three characteristic professional groups, namely press and publication, radio, film and television, animation art design and new media technology, and enrolling students for 30 provinces, municipalities (autonomous regions) across the country.
There are six secondary colleges, including School of Journalism and Communication, School of Film and Television Art, school of visual arts, School of New Media Technology, School of Management and School of International Communication, and two teaching departments, namely, the teaching department of ideological and political courses and the teaching department of sports health courses, which are managed at two levels. There are 640 faculty members, including teachers with senior titles 173, and 307 doctors and masters. The College is the national examination center for radio and television editors, journalists, announcers and presenters, and the National Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) and IELTS test center. The main campus is located in Changsha Xingsha National Economic and Technological Development Zone, adjacent to Hunan Radio and Television Center. It is a newly-built environment-friendly intelligent campus, and won the titles of "Hunan Civilized Unit" and "Hunan Garden Unit".
