Feed-meat ratio = total feed consumption (kg)/total weight gain (kg)
The feed-meat ratio of pigs in different physiological cycles is different, and the feed-meat ratio of pigs is generally low in the early stage. Judging from the economic effect of raising pigs, of course, the lower the feed-meat ratio, the better. The feed conversion rate and daily gain of different varieties are very different. Lean-meat breeds such as Landrace, Yorkshire, Pitland and Duroc, or ternary and quaternary hybrid pigs, under reasonable feed nutrition, have fast growth speed, high daily gain, high feed reward, low feed-meat ratio, slow growth speed of local breeds, low daily gain and high feed-meat ratio.
