Huang Qu South Expressway is an important part of G3 Expressway from Beijing to Taipei in the national expressway network. Its opening means that the Beijing-Fuzhou section of the Beijing-Taiwan Expressway runs through the whole line.
This fast and convenient inter-provincial corridor runs through the north and south, radiating in all directions, organically connecting Zhejiang, Anhui and Fujian provinces, and making the Yangtze River Delta and Haixi two economic zones accessible all the way.
Huang-Qu-Nan Expressway is also a "one company" in Zhejiang transportation planning, an inter-provincial trunk highway connecting Anhui, Zhejiang and Fujian provinces, and a major strategic implementation of Zhejiang's "traffic westward" policy, which has great practical significance and far-reaching strategic significance for the economic development of the marginal areas of Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Fujian provinces.
The total length of Huangqu South Expressway Project is about 16 1 km, which is constructed in two phases, connecting Huangshan City in Anhui Province in the north and Nanping City in Fujian Province in the south. Zhejiang section of Huang Qu (Quzhou, Zhejiang-Huangshan, Anhui) Expressway Phase II is located in the mountainous area, in which the proportion of bridges and tunnels in Huang Qu section exceeds 50%, making the construction more difficult than ever.
