Beijing Jingneng Thermal Power Co., Ltd. is the first modern large-scale joint-stock power generation and heating enterprise in Beijing. It was jointly funded by Beijing International Electric Power Development and Investment Corporation, China Huabei Electric Power Group Corporation, Beijing Comprehensive Investment Corporation, Beijing Electric Power Foreign Engineering Corporation and Beijing Transformer Factory in March 2000. The company was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on May 10, 2002. The registered capital of the company is 573.36 million shares, of which Beijing Jingneng International Energy Co., Ltd. holds 39.84% equity, Shanxi International Power Group Co., Ltd. holds 26% equity and Beijing Energy Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. holds 10.68% equity.
The predecessor of the company is Shijingshan Power Plant.
At present, the company holds 5 1% Inner Mongolia Jingneng Fuxiang Power Generation Co., Ltd., 5 1% Inner Mongolia Jingtai Power Generation Co., Ltd., 15% Guohua Energy Co., Ltd. and 30% BAIC Power Generation Co., Ltd.
