Where is Chery's CVT gearbox technology?

Chery's automatic transmission factory is called "Chery Seiki", which is exactly the same as the famous Japanese transmission manufacturer "Aisin Seiki". The word "Seiki" means "precision machinery", which shows that the manufacturing process requirements of automatic transmission are really unusual.

To produce automatic transmission, Chery chose to start with CVT. CVT also belongs to automatic transmission in category, and its production process is close to automatic transmission, but it is easier to achieve smooth and fuel-saving effect in small and medium-sized matching. At present, there are only two factories producing CVT in China. Besides Chery, another company is Belgian company Bang Qi. Punch has set up CVT assembly plant in Nanjing, and its products have been matched to some models of Haima and Great Wall.

CVT usually refers to automobile transmission, also called continuously variable transmission. The difference between CVT and CVT is that its speed ratio is not a discontinuous point, but a series of continuous values, thus achieving good economy, power and driving comfort and reducing emissions and costs. CVT variable speed drive is mainly realized by pushing steel belt and pulley system. The steel pushing pulley system changes the speed by adjusting the pressure of the input and output shaft cone disk, so that the steel pushing belt moves radially on the input and output shaft cone disk, thus changing the transmission ratio and realizing the speed change. Because the push steel belt can continuously move radially on the cone disk, the speed ratio changes continuously, thus realizing stepless speed change. Pushing steel belt is the core component of CVT to realize stepless speed change and transmit power, and its performance directly determines the performance of CVT transmission products.

The A3 CVT transmission independently developed by Chery not only obtained 4 1 national patents, but also adopted Bosch's latest 7th generation products in the selection of push-type steel belts. Compared with the 6th generation products adopted by Mercedes-Benz and Nissan, the durability of the new generation steel strip is obviously better, which will make many consumers feel more at ease. Moreover, compared with many independent brand CVT models, Chery's independent innovative research and development method can not only reduce the production cost better, but also provide more convenience for future maintenance, which undoubtedly further enhances the competitiveness of A3.

By changing the contact radius between the driving wheel and the driven wheel drive belt, the hydraulic torque converter realizes the continuous change of transmission ratio, which makes it have unparalleled driving comfort, keeps the engine running in the best working condition all the time, and makes the whole vehicle have the fuel economy equivalent to MT and better power performance than MT models. Simply put, a good hydraulic torque converter can make the dynamic performance of CVT models stronger.
