1. State-owned enterprise: refers to an enterprise whose assets are owned by the state, established with the investment of the central or local government, or restructured from a state-owned enterprise. 2. Central enterprises refer to state-owned enterprises directly managed by SASAC the State Council or indirectly managed by central enterprise groups. Central enterprises are large in scale and far-reaching, and often occupy an important position in the national economy, involving many key fields such as energy, communication, transportation, finance and equipment manufacturing.
