Heng Jem Cheng's personal experience.

Heng Jem Cheng, a native of Chaoyang, Guangdong (now Liangying Town, Chaonan District), was born in 1944. /kloc-dropped out of school at the age of 0/9 and went to work for his father Zhong Shuifa's Malaysian company. 1972, he went to Indonesia to start a steel mill. 1978, he took over his father's business in Malaysia and founded the first large-scale steel casting plant in Malaysia at that time. In order to cooperate with the expansion of his family's business in Singapore, he merged Dexing Manufacturing Company, Dechang Manufacturing Company and Golden Lion Metal Manufacturing Company founded by his father and renamed them Golden Lion (Private) Co., Ltd. He became the chairman of the group and was known as the "King of Steel".

In addition to steel, the main businesses of Golden Lion Group include automobiles, tires, computers, paper making, beer, retail and real estate. Since 1993, the group has started to invest in department store retailing, vehicle manufacturing and wine making in China, making it the largest Malaysian enterprise in China. China Parkson is one of its businesses, which are widely distributed in more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, and have achieved remarkable results.

The Golden Lion Group is listed in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur respectively. Since China 1992 entered the China market, there have been 13 listed companies under the Heng Jem Cheng family, covering steel, automobiles, tires, computers, department stores, real estate, paper products and other fields.
