Is China Electrical Equipment Group merged with Shanghai Electric Group?

China Electrical Equipment Group and Shanghai Electric Group will not merge. According to relevant public information, China Electric Equipment Group Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Electric Group Co., Ltd. are two independent enterprises. As of April 10, 2023, there is no plan or news about the merger of the two companies. China Electric and Shanghai Electric are both state-owned enterprises in China, among which China Electric is a combination of enterprises under the former State Power Company, and Shanghai Electric is a restructuring of the former Shanghai Machinery Factory (Group).
