According to the Interim Measures for Classified Supervision of Branches of Insurance Companies
Article 6 The Insurance Regulatory Bureau divides the branches of insurance companies into four categories according to the risk status:
(1) Class A institutions refer to companies that have not found problems in business compliance, business development and internal control;
(2) Class B institutions refer to companies with relatively compliant operations and serious problems in business development and internal control;
(3) Class C institutions refer to companies whose operations are seriously irregular or whose business development and internal control are at greater risk;
(4) Class D institutions refer to companies that have serious violations in business operations or serious risks in at least one aspect such as business development and internal control.

According to the Interim Measures for Classified Supervision of Branches of Insurance Companies
Article 8 The Insurance Regulatory Bureau shall determine the evaluation categories according to the scores of the three types of monitoring indicators of the branches of insurance companies, and divide the branches into four categories: A, B, C and D according to the risk from low to high.
The evaluation score is 100. Score higher than 80 points (including 80 points), rated as a class institution, 65 to 80 points (including 65 points), rated as a class institution, 50 to 65 points (including 50 points), rated as a class institution, and below 50 points, rated as a class institution.
Article 9 All insurance regulatory bureaus may refer to the information obtained in daily supervision, make appropriate adjustments to the classification and evaluation, and determine the final rating category.
