This modern information system is the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Over the years, Daquan Group has been making bold attempts in enterprise informatization construction and improving enterprise management level and competitiveness by using information systems, and achieved initial results. The enterprise has been successively rated as the CIMS application demonstration enterprise of the National 863 Plan, the e-commerce demonstration enterprise of Jiangsu Province, the top 500 information enterprises in China, and the industrialization demonstration base of the achievements of the National 863 Plan.

In the past, all kinds of management data, technical drawings and financial data of Daquan Group were mainly generated, counted, summarized and transmitted by traditional manual methods. Although the scale of the enterprise was very small at that time, the actual business data processing was quite large, especially the financial data processing and the control and implementation of the production plan. Due to the single means and lack of tools, a large number of data, such as sales orders, planning information, material accounting, cost data, etc. It can only be recorded and counted by making various complicated forms and printing multiple documents, and the product drawings and engineering designs are completely drawn by hand. Therefore, the accuracy of enterprise data is low, the distortion rate is high, and the transmission efficiency and data reuse rate are extremely low. Inefficient and primitive working methods objectively increase the management cost of enterprises.

After 1990, Daquan Group entered the first period of rapid development. With the continuous expansion of enterprise scale, the organizational structure of the company has undergone major changes, joint ventures have been established, the specialization of internal companies has become more and more detailed, and enterprises have gradually changed from single enterprises to enterprise groups. All kinds of data of enterprises have increased exponentially, and the informatization construction of enterprises has been put on the agenda for the first time and has become an important task of enterprise management. With the re-expansion of the company and the continuous development of the actual business of the enterprise, the original MIS system and accounting computerization software have been unable to maintain the normal operation of the enterprise. Copying the management means and methods of the original head office to various subsidiaries has also copied its disadvantages. The financial system is * * * used, resources are tight, the system runs slowly, each subsystem is basically independent and isolated from each other, forming an information island, data is repeatedly entered, and the correlation is poor, so the plan cannot be effectively controlled. In order to ensure the normal operation of the business, the company has to arrange a large number of managers to communicate and coordinate with each subsystem repeatedly. However, due to the lack of complete, effective and standardized process control in the inherent system, the management is arbitrary, and the influence of human factors is obvious, and the management bottleneck is increasingly prominent.

During the period of 1998, the enterprise actively sought effective solutions according to various problems exposed in the management process, and established the CIMS/ERP project engineering center and project team directly led by the top leaders of the enterprise, which was fully responsible for the enterprise's informatization work and carried out detailed division of labor. In the following two years, the project invested a total of120,000 yuan, purchased the most advanced servers at that time, and transformed the local area network and related hardware facilities covering all subsidiaries of the group.

After nearly two years of implementation and application, the company's inventory occupation has been continuously reduced, the work efficiency has been significantly improved, the rationality and controllability of the plan have been significantly improved, and the processing, analysis, summary and extraction of all kinds of data are orderly and efficient. At the same time, the Group comprehensively integrates the products of all information units, selects the software products of unified manufacturers or manufacturers' alliances as far as possible, and gradually realizes the high degree of system integration and efficient and controllable management.
