Singapore Telecom also has other subsidiaries and portfolio companies, as well as overseas entities holding shares. Subsidiaries include SingNet (its own network company) NCS Limited (affiliated communication company) and its affiliated company Singapore Post (split), Taiwan Province New Century Zitong Co., Ltd. (sparq* SUBO, Singapore Telecom holds 24.5% of the shares of sparq * subo) and Sky Media (yam Sky, Singapore Telecom holds a small share of yam Sky). Hong Kong holds 20.33% of the shares of Asia-Pacific Satellite, but it has no control.

Singapore Telecom was established in Singapore three years after the invention of telephone (1879), when 50 lines were used for telephone transactions.
