The difference between non-profit organizations and profit-making organizations

Legal analysis: Non-profit organizations refer to non-profit organizations, whose goal is usually to support or deal with issues or events of personal concern or public concern. Non-profit organizations cover a wide range of fields, including art, charity, education, politics, religion, academics, environmental protection and so on. Non-profit organizations do not aim at generating benefits, which is usually regarded as the main feature of such organizations.

For-profit organization: it is to realize operating profit; Non-profit organizations, generally engaged in public welfare undertakings, do not achieve profit. Because for-profit organizations are engaged in production, sales and other industries, the purpose of their business activities is to realize profits and improve the welfare of employees; Non-profit organizations are organizations funded by the state, enterprises and individuals and providing services to the society free of charge.

Legal basis: Article 6 of the Company Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) shall apply to the company registration authority for registration of establishment. Those that meet the conditions for establishment as stipulated in this Law shall be registered as limited liability companies or joint stock limited companies respectively by the company registration authority; Those who do not meet the conditions for establishment as stipulated in this Law shall not be registered as a limited liability company or a joint stock limited company. Where laws and administrative regulations stipulate that the establishment of a company must be approved, the approval procedures shall be handled according to law before the company is registered. The public may apply to the company registration authority to inquire about the registered items of the company, and the company registration authority shall provide inquiry services.
