General tobacco group was established in June 1993, which is the first enterprise group in China tobacco industry. General Tobacco Group implements the parent-subsidiary system. The parent company General Tobacco Group Co., Ltd. includes two cigarette factories in Jinan and Xinjiang, and two joint-venture tobacco companies, Huaying and China Tobacco Kazakhstan. It owns a number of holding and shareholding companies in economy and trade, investment, paper industry, redrying, flavors and fragrances, finance and so on, with total assets of 6.3 billion yuan. It mainly produces three series of cigarettes, namely "General", "Saute Chicken" and "Snow Lotus". "General" and "Daji" brand cigarettes were rated as provincial and municipal excellent brand products, among which "General" brand cigarettes were rated as national excellent products. The enterprise has advanced equipment, strong technical force, industry-level technical center and modern scientific research, production and testing equipment. In 2003, 960,800 cartons of cigarettes were produced and 963,600 cartons of cigarettes were sold, achieving sales income of 4.255 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 2.207 billion yuan.
Jinan Cigarette Factory, the backbone enterprise of General Tobacco Group Co., Ltd., was built in 1928. It is a large state-owned enterprise. In 2003, it produced 835,800 cartons of cigarettes and sold 832,900 cartons of cigarettes, achieving a sales income of 3.652 billion yuan and an industrial profit and tax of 0/95,400 yuan, ranking among the top enterprises in Jinan. Jinan Cigarette Factory has been rated as a civilized unit and an excellent political enterprise in Shandong Province for many years, and 1996 has been rated as an advanced enterprise in the tobacco industry, an excellent political enterprise and an advanced collective in the national discipline inspection and supervision system. The enterprise carries out the quality policy of "first-class inside and outside, satisfaction inside and outside, perseverance and constant pursuit", and passed the ISO9002 international standard certification of French and Shanghai quality management certification bodies on June 2006 1997, and passed the Shanghai quality management certification body GB/T/KLOC-0 on February 5, 2006/900658. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, Jinan Cigarette Factory was designated as a key technological transformation enterprise by the State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau, which has full development potential.
By the end of the Tenth Five-Year Plan, General Tobacco Group will develop into a trans-regional and multinational large-scale enterprise group, with an annual production and sales capacity of 65.438+0.4 million cartons of cigarettes, a sales income of 8.47 billion yuan, and a profit of 4 billion yuan, including 720 million yuan.
