The technological process of each step is as follows:
(1) Design and plate making
That is, the front and back patterns of playing cards and the design of playing card packaging boxes, as well as printing and plate making.
(2) Preparation and modification of materials
The company will physically modify the special paper for playing cards that has been in stock for a certain period of time. Because of the uneven internal stress of new paper, the concentrated area of internal stress is easy to wrinkle, and the flatness, elasticity and folding endurance of the produced playing cards are unstable, which affects the overall quality of playing cards. By modifying the process, the company can effectively improve the paper quality, thus ensuring that the quality of special paper for playing cards is obviously better than the industry average.
The specific requirements for the transformation of special paper for playing cards are as follows:
① Requirements for paper stability. Paper is a thin layer material interwoven with natural plant fibers, so it has strong hydrophilic ability. The newly produced paper can only be stored in the warehouse of the company after long-distance transportation, and the difference in temperature and humidity between the place of origin and the place of use inevitably causes the paper to be deformed by water absorption or drainage under the influence of the external environment, thus affecting printing, subsequent processing and product quality. Therefore, it is very important to achieve a relative balance between the humidity of prepress paper and the humidity of the external environment.
② Requirements for paper flatness. Paper is a heterogeneous, complex and homogeneous polymer material with elasticity and time-related fluidity, as well as elasticity and viscosity. Paper will deform when it is subjected to external force. Even after the external force is removed, it is still partially deformed and cannot be restored to its original state, that is, permanently deformed. In the process of producing paper, the paper is generally rolled into a drum, then unfolded and cut into flat paper. Although the bending phenomenon of paper can be partially recovered after being cut into flat paper, some deformation cannot be recovered. Therefore, if the purchased paper is directly put into production, it will easily lead to the warpage and deformation of playing cards, which will adversely affect the production process and the quality of final products. Therefore, it is necessary to apply appropriate external forces to eliminate the warpage and deformation of the paper caused by these unfavorable stresses and deformations.
Specific measures taken by the company to meet the needs of paper modification:
(1) Store the paper in a specific environment for a certain period of time, so that the moisture of the paper can be balanced with the humidity of the external environment. Through continuous experiments in the process of paper use, the company has proved that under certain circumstances, the paper left for about three months will reach a good state in terms of dimensional stability, and the paper will no longer have obvious swelling problems, which can effectively improve the misregister of poker paper printing and the problem of unilateral sizing head in the subsequent process.
(2) Store the paper in a specific environment for a certain time, deal with the stress and deformation of the paper, eliminate the bad stress (warping), and achieve the best flatness. According to the theoretical discussion on the relationship between paper stress and time published by China Light Industry Press in 2006, the company stored the newly produced playing card flat paper for three months in combination with the actual situation to eliminate the bad warping stress of the paper and the bad curling stress caused by the drum. 3000 flat playing cards stacked on a shelf for three months can eliminate permanent benign deformation and obviously improve product quality.

(3) printing
That is, the front and back printing of playing cards and the printing of playing card packaging boxes. The company adopts Heidelberg series printing machines with world-leading technology to improve printing efficiency and ensure high-quality printing results. The printing process of playing cards must be carried out in the order of "face first, then face", that is, after the face printing is completed, the reverse printing can only be carried out after about 12 hours of circulation; After 5-7 days of circulation, the ink can be dried before entering the next process. The company adopts advanced printing equipment, and the working efficiency has been greatly improved compared with the traditional production technology.
(4) Inspection and embossing
Inspection is to check whether the printed playing cards meet the production requirements and specifications. Only the playing card paper that meets the requirements and specifications can enter the embossing process, that is, the machine presses the fabric on the front of the playing card. The company adopts automatic product inspection machine to realize these two processes on one machine to improve production efficiency.
Embossing can improve the special feel and grade of playing cards. At present, most products of Yaoji Poker are embossed, and products that do not need embossing enter the polishing process after the inspection process.
(5) Glass window
Polishing is an important step in the manufacturing process of playing cards. There are many detailed polishing procedures, and both sides of playing cards need to be polished. The company opened a double-deck bidirectional glazing machine with playing cards, which realized the full automation of the process, not only improved the production efficiency, but also saved the loss of raw materials and strictly controlled the product quality.
(6) cutting
That is, playing card paper is divided into standard playing cards. The traditional manufacturing process has to go through two processes: indentation, manual licensing and corner cutting. By adopting the technology of "orderly collection after paper cutting", the company can complete cutting and corner cutting at one time, simplify the production process and improve the production efficiency and product quality.
(7) finished products
The steps of finished products are divided into three categories according to the different packaging forms of products: outsourcing, inner packaging in cartons and special inner packaging.
Outsourcing is a kind of packaging method. First, the playing cards are packed in cartons, and then the cartons are packed with BOPP plastic film.
Carton packaging is a packaging method in which playing cards are sealed with BOPP plastic film and then put into paper card boxes.
Special inner packaging is a packaging method in which playing cards are sealed with BOPP plastic film and then put into special packaging boxes.
